Michelle Uziel is a Brooklyn based retro soul singer-songwriter. Born in Los Angeles, California to two Israeli baby boomers, she grew up on a good dose of Motown and hummus. She fell in love with house music back in ’99, when a friend made her a mixtape and invited her to her first rave party at a roller rink in the valley. These days, in addition to her solo R&B work, Michelle loves co-writing and collaborating house music projects. Before pursuing a career in music, Michelle was also a History teacher at a non-profit school and public schools in New York City.
