George Winkworth is a UK Electronic music producer / recording artist, specialising in trance music.
Born in Gosport, Hampshire he moved to Leamington Spa in 1981 where he became a self-taught synth/keyboard player, joining various gigging 80’s live bands before discovering the mighty Atari ST computer & MIDI in the second half of the decade. From that point forward, all music would be fully electronic.
In the mid-90’s, George went on to co-found Subterrania recordings (label) /Subterrania records (record store) and a string of successful releases followed under various aliases including Atlantis, Fractika, Pord, Dual Shock, Spamster, Honour M:ss:on and his solo artist name – Slipstream.
In 2011 George formed his own digital self-release label Scuna Music. In more recent years his solo name ‘Slipstream’ has been resurrected and writing is in full flow, with a string of releases/collaborations on Borderline Music, Research and Development and Pure Trance.
