Born in Parma (Italy) Diego Bocchi (aka SQU4RE), has lived a life full of love for music since his early years. At just 11 years old he had a strong desire to experiment with something new and was eager to learn all about new musical genres. Fast forward and several releases later on house labels such as Simma Black, HoTL Records and Black Lizard Records amongst others, Diego decided to move his sound to something more deep and melodic. Debuting on Boris Brejcha ’s label “FCKNG SERIOUS” with a special remix in collaboration with Giorgia Angiuli of Ann Clue’s track “Fallin” and later in 2021 releasing his first solo single on Kryder ‘s label “Sosumi Records”, Diego’s music started to gain recognition with the latter also being included on Kryder’s album “Kryder presents Metaverse” on “Black Hole Recordings”. SQU4RE went on to release a number of singles and EPs throughout the next 18 months on various labels including “This Never Happened” and Grum’s “Deep State Recordings”. Later in 2022 Diego teamed back up with Giorgia Angiuli collaborating on a release for Spinnin sublabel AFTR:HRS with a track entitled “Spark of Light” supported by label head Tiesto himself on his Club Life Radio Show. In terms of live performances, “Tropicana Beach Club” (Mykonos), “Generator” (London) and “Destino” (Ibiza) are just a few of the places where SQU4RE has so far brought his sound, though not forgetting his homeland roots with continued gigs throughout Italy in places like Venice, Milan (Amnesia) and in his own city Reggio Emilia, with a residency at “Italghisa”.
