Florence and the Machine recorded a cover version of John Truelove’s Now Voyager version of You Got The Love in 2008 for indie label Moshi Moshi. Subsequently signed to Island/Universal, it charted (top 10) at the end of 2009, helping to propel Florence’s Lungs album to multi-platinum status, and leading to the famous Brits live mash-up performance with Dizzee Rascal. The resulting release rose to #2 in the UK national charts.

Since then the song’s already impressive list of usages has stretched ever further and wider including commercials for international brands such as Mitsubishi, Vodaphone, Avon Cosmetics,  numerous TV licences including X-Factor, America’s Got Talent, The Greatest Loser,  So You Think You Can Dance, and games licences for Sony Nintendo and Wii
