Jon Langford Artist Bio

Jon Langford is a British DJ, producer, remixer and songwriter whose influence on the UK hard house and hard trance scenes has spanned more than three decades. Best known through his acclaimed aliases K-Series and Knuckleheadz, he has built a reputation for creating uplifting, energetic dance music that has resonated with clubbers, DJs and producers around the world.

Beginning his DJ career in 1988 on England’s South Coast, Jon quickly became a recognised figure in Bournemouth’s thriving club scene, holding residencies at some of the region’s most respected venues and events including Slink and Manor nightclub. During this period, he performed alongside many of dance music’s biggest names and developed the musical foundations that would shape his production career.

As one half of Knuckleheadz, Jon helped define the sound of 1990s hard house. The project’s breakthrough release, House Rocca, became one of the era’s standout records and earned widespread support from leading DJs including Tony De Vit. Subsequent productions and remixes for major labels established Knuckleheadz as one of the most respected names in the genre.

Seeking a platform for his harder trance influences, Jon launched K-Series, a project that became synonymous with high-energy hard trance and inventive reworks of classic dance records. The series developed a loyal following and remains highly regarded among hard dance enthusiasts, with many releases achieving cult status on dancefloors across the UK and internationally.

Throughout his career, Jon has produced and remixed music under numerous other aliases, including Mr Bishi, Neon Lights, Flashheadz and Volts Wagen, collaborating with leading artists and producers while continuously evolving his sound. His productions have been released through respected labels including Tidy Trax, Tripoli Trax, Nukleuz, Positiva, Sony and EMI.

As a DJ and performer, Jon has taken his music around the world, playing across Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and North America. His sets are known for combining technical precision with an instinctive understanding of the dancefloor, delivering the uplifting energy and feel-good atmosphere that have become his trademark.

Today, Jon remains an active force in electronic music. Through ongoing releases, DJ performances and new productions under the K-Series and Knuckleheadz banners (including a recently released K-Series artist album), he continues to connect generations of dance music fans while contributing to the enduring legacy of the hard house and hard trance movements he helped shape.

Recent releases and performances demonstrate a producer still driven by creativity, passion and a deep love for the music that launched his career.
