Jay Mason is a Scottish DJ and producer originally from Northumberland, now based in Aberdeenshire. Producing since the age of 16, he is steadily carving out a sound that sits between hard-hitting Tech House and driving Techno, combining powerful low-end grooves, energetic percussion and peak-time intensity.
Having first stepped behind the decks at just 15 through the Aberdeen DJ Academy, Jay quickly gained experience playing under-18 events before turning his attention increasingly towards music production. He went on to study Sound Production in Aberdeen before completing a Music Production Diploma with Point Blank Music School, further developing the technical foundations behind his sound.
Since then, his focus has been on refining his craft, developing a distinctive identity and building a catalogue of music designed for the dancefloor.
In 2026, Jay signed a publishing agreement with Truelove Music, marking the beginning of his professional career. With a growing catalogue of original productions, he is now focused on preparing his first releases while continuing to evolve as both a producer and DJ.
Inspired by artists including HI-LO, Genesi and Armin van Buuren, Jay’s ambition is firmly fixed on the world’s biggest stages. However, his immediate priority remains creating music that cuts through on its own merits — authentic, energetic productions that establish him as an exciting new name within electronic music.
